Code Is Law: On Liberty in Cyberspace by Lawrence Lessig read by Useful Programmer

In this episode, I read an article by Lawerence Lessig. This article is about the choices which we get to make as programmers. As programmers, I believe that we have a lot of responsibility in the systems we develop. We need to be careful and make specific choices as we develop the systems of tomorrow.

Facebook is starting to break. Twitter makes people crazy. I believe that lovers of the internet will roll back to systems which serve them, rather than harvest them.

Perhaps I’m wrong. Either way, this is a healthy article for young programmers to contemplate.
